ThirdCoast Digest contributor Brian Jacobson hails from the countryside of southeastern Wisconsin, spending formative years on his grandparents’ farm next door. But when he attended UW-Milwaukee in 1989, all hell broke loose. In his 18 years in the city, he experienced all the splendor and decadence it had to offer. Banished once again to the country, he is slowing clawing his way back. Jacobson is an art photographer, roller derby ref, cinema nut, chef and outdoorsman, and is currently seeking to learn ukulele. Occasionally he writes. He lives peaceful with an old dog, cat, and a plecostomus.
