What comes to mind when you think about New Year’s? We love to focus on the idea of new beginnings and starting resolutions. We start the New Year with intentions of becoming a better person and making our lives better. Another big deal around New Year’s is, of course, parties and events. Us ladies often spend hours trying to find the perfect dress, get our nails done and get dolled up for a special night out. Here are three different ways to look stunning this New Year’s Eve:

Makeup Style #1: Glitz and Glam

It is always fun to really outdo it and make a statement with your outfit, shoes, jewels and makeup on New Year’s Eve. This look really emphasizes lots of glitter on the eyes. The image below shows a gorgeous smoky eye with added sparkle glitter on top. When doing these type of looks, try different colors for a smoky eye along with matching glitter. The options are endless, but be mindful not to make it look like you are a Las Vegas show girl; less is more and very sexy.

Makeup Style #2: Make them Lips Pop

This look allows you to play with all of the amazing lipsticks out there. For this season, try various reds or even hot pink; it’s playful and sexy at the same time. Adding a great pop of color to your lips allows you to downplay your other makeup and do everything else more natural with a nice, soft, bronzed cheek. On the eyes, use a neutral base along with liquid eyeliner.

When using bold lip colors always line your likes with matching lip liner. It helps prevent the lip color from bleeding into the skin. You can also put lip liner over your entire lip to help lipstick last longer.

Makeup Style #3: Classically Gorgeous

Nothing beats this amazing look. There is something so perfect about classic beauty. A gorgeous brown smoky eye with a neutral lip is perfect for everyday and will look stunning this New Year’s Eve. If you want it to be more dramatic, simply add more shadow to the eyes and darken of the cheeks a bit. Eyes are beautiful – wear makeup that emphasizes them and makes them really pop. Brown is a neutral and goes with every eye color. Use a natural bronze, peach cheek and top it off with a gorgeous natural, light pink lip.

Always remember that to get the best looking makeup possible. Taking care of your skin is key. Wash your face regularly and use quality skin care products – eye cream, moisturizer, night cream, etc.

Try something new this New Year’s Eve. It’s meant to be a new beginning and a way for you to let loose and celebrate another new year. Be safe on New Year’s Eve and look absolutely gorgeous!
