Dan Wendt thinks the Great Lakes Compact can be defended as offering protection from commercialization of Great Lakes water.  With all due respect, I strongly disagree. And I believe several members of Congress also do and will be trying to clean up the mess.

Meanwhile, Michigan communities are hoping to make a fast buck to balance their budgets by selling municipal water to private companies who mark it up several thousand percent, put it in containers and make mammoth profits.
